Sucocítrico Cutrale invested and continues to invest in a series of social projects in the regions where the company operates. Its main purpose is to improve the quality of life of the regions inhabitants, with special priority to the areas of education, health and food. In addition to the partnership with Fundecitrus and the Mayor of the Municipality of Itápolis, to create the Supplementary Education Center Itápolis, which was founded in 1999 and receives 400 children and teenagers aged 7 to 14 years old the company invests and takes part in various other social actions. Please see below a summary of the main actions carried out by Cutrale, which received the ABRINQ [Foundation for the Rights of the Child] Child Friendly Company seal. |

| In 2005, Sucocítrico Cutrale sponsored the "Orange with Art, Sports and Culture" local campaign, investing R$120,000.00 in the project where 14,000 children were involved in various activities as acrylic painting on canvas, theater, dance, music and track and field (running and long jump). After a contest of the works submitted the 76 finalists were awarded a trip to Thermas dos Laranjais, in the City of Olímpia (State of Sao Paulo) and exhibited their works in the SESC Araraquara Section, as well as in a stand of the company, in August 2005, in the FACIRA, an agro-industrial fair held annually in Araraquara. FACIRA's income is directed to philanthropic entities of the city. | |
| In a partnership with the Office of the Mayor of Araraquara, Cutrale donated orange juice to approximately 14,000 children of up to 14 years old, who are enrolled in the local public school system. The program extends to these children the possibility of consuming this healthy juice seven times more than the Brazilian average, with a monthly distribution of 27,000 litters of juice (annual cost estimated at R$ 200,000.00). | |
| In May 2005, Cutrale donated R$400,000.00 for the Centro Infantil de Investigações Hematológicas Dr. Domingos A. Boldrini, a children's hospital specialized in hematological investigations, located in Campinas. The hospital was declared of Federal Public Utility by Decree 83747, of September 26,1983, and funds are being used to finish implementing the radiotherapy service, which receives up to 40 children patients a day. | |
| In 2005, Sucocítrico Cutrale sponsored a blood donation campaign among its employees and co-workers, to supply the Blood Bank of the City of Araraquara. | |

| In 2004, the company took part in the campaign "Sports with oranges is more health" having donated R$120,000.00. Developed in a partnership with the Mayor's Office of Araraquara, the project was the first Olympics for children of the public school system of the city, involving 46 schools and 14,000 children between 03 and 14 years old. The winners received awards. | |

In 2003, Sucocítrico Cutrale donated R$4 million to the National Campaign to Fight Hunger. During that same year, it also took part as sponsor of the Araraquara campaign together with the local mayor's office, with the theme "Orange - Against Hunger". With a R$120,000.00 investment, the campaign involved 46 public schools and 14,000 children between 03 and 14 years old, in activities like painting, drawing and composition. The winners of each category received prizes. |

The company donated R$300,000.00 to the Hospital Beneficiência Portuguesa of Araraquara to fund part of the acquisition of a modern Magnetic Resounding Image equipment that is already functioning and at the disposal of patients of the city and of the region. In 2001, it restructured the electric power system of the Santa Casa de Saúde de Araraquara hospital, which cost R$ 36,000.00. Between 2000 and 2001 it donated R$10,000.00 to the Cancer Hospital of the City of Barretos, an important entity of the region, specialized in cancer treatment, the hospital receives patients in its important and modern facilities. The company contributed with R$6,000.00 for the purchase of tickets for campaigns for the Asilo de Mendicidade of Araraquara that was founded in 1917 and looks after senior citizens of the community, and the Maternidade Gota de Leite of Araraquara, an entity dedicated to treating pregnant women. In 2000, Cutrale donated to the Prefeitura Municipal de Araraquara a vehicle with a refrigeration equipment, in the amount of R$20,000.00 to transport soymilk to the institutions of Araraquara. |
