Below is the São Paulo State orange production table
with data from 1979/80 to the last season. São Paulo is Brazilian largest
producer, responsible for 70% of orange domestic production and 98% of
juice production. The orange production in other Brazilian States is estimated
in 70 to 90 million 40.8 Kg boxes, from which 10% is used by processing
industries for FCOJ exports and 90% is consumed as fresh orange by the
domestic market. |
